Upon passing his Abitur (German school leaving examinations) at the Matthias-Claudius-Gymnasium in Hamburg, he completed his military service with the German Air Force from 1965 to 1967. Subsequently, he studied law. 1972 First state examinations in law followed by  legal clerkship (Referendariat) in Hamburg. 1975 Second state examination in law in Hamburg. 

Professional career:

Solicitor since 1975; since 1978 partner at the Lehmann Rechtsanwälte law firm. For years, Mr. Lehmann was the spokesperson for the German Shareholders Association (Deutsche Schutzvereinigung für Wertpapierbesitz e.V.) and supports clients in national and international trade fields, including company law matters as well as professional sports. His primary focusses are commercial and corporate law, and labour law.  For decades, Mr. Lehmann was a state examiner for state examination in law with the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court Hamburg, and for years also held a teaching assignment at the West Coast University of Applied Sciences in Heide (Holstein). Since 2015 he has been a counsel with A│L│P Rechtsanwälte.
